The clients owned two adjacent lots, one with a recently built cottage. After much deliberation, it was decided to consolidate the two shoreline lots and move the cottage to a newly created lot. This allowed a home to be designed so that all principal rooms command a view of West Lake and the Sandbanks, and remain at grade.
Extensive use of wood for post & beam, oak custom moldings, oak custom doors, complement the owner's taste in artwork and furnishings.
Geothermal heating, Energy Star windows and urethane foam insulation contribute to a very efficient home to run. Although large, it is a very comfortable and inviting home to live in.
